April Full Egg Moon (Pink Moon) - 11th April 2017

The April Full Egg Moon (Pink Moon) on 11th 2017 is called so, due to the time of year when the geese lay their eggs, also it marks the end of mourning, dieting and fasting, signifying the beginning of spring, new growth, a new beginning and rebirth.

With the Sun situated in Aries and the moon taking its place in Libra this represents the point of equilibrium, the balance, where all things are equal.  The flame of creativity and ambition is being fed by the oxygen of Libra, fueling its ambition; this cardinal pressure begins to create movement.  It can be likened to firing up an engine in a car and once it takes hold you can drive wherever you wish to go – many destinations are possible.  Reason mixes with the spark to create action that is then tempered with adjustment.

This Libra egg moon allows you to see both sides of a situation or an issue, therefore, relationships reveal their beauty and their flaws, two sides of a coin can be seen at once, the light and the dark,  revealing the polarity of all things.

Thoughts and feelings may collide with each other until they reach a conclusion, an agreement.   Our thoughts need to match what we are feeling or conflict can be felt within.  Your inner scales can swing from extreme left to right until this alignment takes place and balance is restored.

According to the Farmer’s Almanac the period from this Full Moon through the last quarter of the Moon is the best time for killing weeds, thinning, pruning, mowing, cutting timber, and planting below-ground crops.
